Chu Mo spoke slowly. "Since you've made up your mind, Senior Brother, it would be heartless of me to keep trying to stop you."
He pondered briefly, then finally nodded under Ming He's expectant gaze. "Very well. We'll do as you say, Senior Brother. I agree to this deal."
A gleam of delight flashed through Ming He's eyes. He smiled. "You certainly are decisive, Junior Brother! Then shall we draw up a written agreement, with the sect as witness?"
"As we should." Chu Mo nodded, took out a sheet of paper, and began writing.
The written agreement Ming He mentioned was no binding instrument, merely an ordinary document serving as a record of their arrangement.
If either of them broke it, those backing them would have an excuse to intervene.
With the agreement signed, the atmosphere seemed much more cordial. In excellent spirits, Ming He began telling Chu Mo about the Lesser Origin Realm.
"The Lesser Origin Realm is unusual, with entirely different laws of heaven and earth. There is no sun or moon, and the stars remain hidden. Only skyglow and darkfall divide day from night.
"The land mostly consists of shattered, floating islands and plates, held in a basic state of stability by a force called origin magnetism."
"The natives call themselves the Origin Race. Their bodies are formed entirely of qi, gathering and dispersing at will, ethereal and ever-shifting. The [Essence of Mother Qi] is their sacred treasure."
As he spoke, Ming He took out a jade slip and pushed it toward Chu Mo. "This contains some information about the Lesser Origin Realm. You can take it back and study it first."
Chu Mo accepted the jade slip and swept it briefly with his divine thought. "When will we set out?"
"How about three days from now?"
