Several months passed. After a round of "absolutely spectacular" magical combat between the Dragon Lords, Canghan finally settled on the candidates for the six Dragon King seats.
He looked at the six figures standing proudly below the steps, a trace of satisfaction flashing through his eyes. They were all outstanding Spirit Transformation Dragon Lords, each gifted with extraordinary talent.
Once they inherited their Dao Integration statuses, they would surely soon become the pillars that held up the heavens for Dragonkind.
After a brief moment of deliberation, Canghan spoke in a deep voice:
"You six dragons are the most outstanding descendants of our Dragonkind. Now that you inherit the seats of Dao Integration, you must understand the weight of your responsibilities. There is no telling when Nether Crossing, Nether Command will come. Whether we can hold the Outer Sea now rests on your abilities."
At his words, the Chu Mos lowered their heads slightly and answered in unison, "Rest assured, Lord Canghan. We will not fail our mission."
Canghan nodded in satisfaction. The dragons' ringing voices reverberated through the crystal palace, their imposing force awe-inspiring, as though they had all come from a single person.
Fine sons of our Dragonkind indeed. A pity that they must face a great war just as they take their thrones. Who knows how many will remain in the end...
Canghan felt that he had grown somewhat sentimental lately.
He shook his head, swept his gaze over them, and spoke in an even graver tone. "Go. Take your respective posts and establish defenses throughout the domains."
"We will not disappoint you, Lord Canghan."
The six accepted their orders in unison, then turned and strode away. Gradually, silence settled over the Crystal Palace.
Canghan sat alone on his throne, gazing toward the palace doors with unfathomable eyes.
