Meanwhile, the Venerated God Church learned that three Heavenly Demons were being sheltered by the God-Worshipping Church and prepared to attack.

• Chu Mo concluded that the God of Taiming was Xuanming using his [Soul-Dividing Thought-Transformation Great Art] and followed Yun Zhao to his quarters in the Winged People’s district.
• Chu Mo trapped Yun Zhao, took his place, and searched his memories for information about [Life], but found no clues.
• Chu Mo decided to bring the Nine Truths Gate to the Divine Realm to pressure Xuanming, then entered another friend’s residence while disguised as Yun Zhao.
• A Silver-Robed Divine Envoy told the Venerated God Church’s Church Leader that the God-Worshipping Church had welcomed three Heavenly Demons as Holy Children and a Holy Maiden.

Xuanming learned that Su Yingxue, a Nine Truths Gate disciple, carried the Heavenly Register and ordered Xue Huan to keep the realm’s Heavenly Dao suppressed while he pursued his plans. A month later, Chu Mo discussed the Eastern Sea’s temporary peace and the River Spirit Cauldron trade with Yichu before Mo Yan arrived to speak with him.

• Xuanming sent a divided soul to the God-Worshipping Church’s Divine Realm and questioned Xue Huan about the Heavenly Register bearer.

Mo Yan warned Chu Mo that Xuanming had turned the Enforcement Hall against him, but Chu Mo refused to be distracted and focused on the war between the two churches. As Chu Mo manipulated both sides of the fighting, Xuanming sent his Divine Attendants down to join the conflict.

• Mo Yan told Chu Mo that the Enforcement Hall was gathering fabricated charges against him and gave him a Jade Slip naming troublesome members.
• Mo Yan revealed that Xuanming had been injured by a Dao Integration Dragon King in the Eastern Sea, then left after warning Chu Mo to keep it confidential.
• Chu Mo returned to Youxuan Peak and decided to ignore the Enforcement Hall while working to gain more control over the Otherworld through the God-Worshipping Church.

• Divine Attendants descended on the Mountain Realm and routed the Demonkin, while Zhou Fei and the others watched in fear.
• Xiao Xuan reassured the Nine Truths Gate disciples that their High God would answer the threat, and Xue Huan appeared beneath blood clouds covering the realm.
• Xue Huan swallowed the battlefield’s corpses, and Chu Mo recognized that he was drawing closer to Youxuan by absorbing them.

• Xue Huan realized the swallowed blood mist was letting another consciousness seize his body, but his Blood Dao Divine Ability awakened Chu Mo, who took control of him.
• Chu Mo discovered that Xue Huan had withheld some of the blood mist for himself and used it to assimilate Xue Huan into an other-self.

Xuanming arrived to find the newly awakened Heavenly Dao attacking him, followed by the Netherbank Heavenly Dao, which recognized its old enemy.

• Chu Mo realized the Netherbank Heavenly Dao had disguised itself as the root origin of [Life], and Xue Huan and his two companions attacked it on his command.
