The man who entered was a detective. Although he had become fairly familiar with Mulan and respected him greatly, he still felt a little nervous entering this office. Strange writing covered the areas around the windows and door, and every police officer who had visited suspected they were spells meant to keep something from escaping.
"What sort of case is it?"
Mulan had already returned to his seat behind the desk. The detective saluted Evan, then quickly explained the situation.
"We've been investigating some agitators lately. Originally, it was just a minor dispute over a strike at a parts factory, but several workers disappeared in succession. The workers suspected the owner of deliberately retaliating against them, so a riot broke out. It's already spread to several factories and workshops. Several nearby police stations have joined forces to suppress it. We suspect dangerous cultists are involved, and both the inspector and Viscount Naro hope Lord Jonester will intervene as well."
