Mulan walked toward the vampire, step by step. Under the immense pressure, the vampire dimly saw a towering black shadow approaching him. Though he and Mulan were roughly the same height, he felt as though he were facing a giant with its wings spread.
Eerie red eyes, a crazed and cruel face, countless sharp teeth showing through a slightly open mouth, and two clawed hands slowly curling at its sides.
The vampire was like a frog caught in a venomous snake's gaze, utterly ruled by fear. And he sensed something even more terrifying: the look in his opponent's eyes bore a faint resemblance to the way he himself looked at young girls.
"Talk. If you tell me, I'll spare you!"
As Mulan's mouth opened and closed, the enormous demon that was one with his shadow moved its mouth as well. The vampire seemed to "hear" the demon's hoarse voice rather than Mulan's own.
Fang pinned his right hand in place, seemingly injecting venom into the vampire like a poisonous fang, weakening his will and mind.
"I-I'll talk!"
Under these circumstances, the vampire could not muster any defiance. Or rather, fear had completely consumed him. He chose to submit to the terrifying being before him-to tell him whatever he wanted to know.
In less than ten minutes, the vampire had revealed his purpose. What remained of his reason and awareness kept him from spilling everything, but the demon in the shadows showed no sign of relenting. Instead, it drew ever closer.
