Ch. 21The end of the Waves and the banquet

Ye Uchiha killed the Berserk Chimera and ended the Wave of Calamity, after which the heroes attended a victory banquet in the Royal Palace. Naofumi Iwatani kept to himself at the feast, reflecting on whom he could trust and his desire to return to his original world.

  • Ye Uchiha severed the Berserk Chimera's three heads with one sword strike, causing the rifts to vanish and the Wave's monsters to dissolve.
  • Motoyasu Kitamura, Itsuki Kawasumi, and Ren Amaki learned that Naofumi Iwatani had gone to rescue villagers instead of pursuing the boss.
  • The Knight Order commander invited the heroes to a victory banquet, and the king welcomed them at the Royal Palace that evening.
  • Noblewomen gathered around Motoyasu Kitamura, Itsuki Kawasumi, and Ren Amaki, while the nobles ignored Naofumi Iwatani.
  • Naofumi Iwatani sat alone by a window, trusted Ye Uchiha but doubted Raphtalia, and thought about returning to his original world after the Waves were dealt with.

Ch. 22Slaves and duels

Naofumi Iwatani discovered that registered allies could teleport with him when the Hourglass summoned them, then faced Motoyasu Kitamura’s challenge over Raphtalia’s status as a slave. The king forced Naofumi to accept the duel and had Raphtalia seized, leaving Naofumi furious at the kingdom and determined to win her back.

  • Naofumi Iwatani read that registered personnel could teleport with him when the Hourglass summoned them and regretted not registering the Knight Order earlier.
  • Raphtalia offered Naofumi food, but Motoyasu Kitamura interrupted and challenged him to a duel, demanding that Naofumi free Raphtalia if he lost.
  • Naofumi rejected Motoyasu’s terms and tried to leave, but the king stopped him and approved the duel.
  • Raphtalia protested that she stayed with Naofumi of her own free will, but a knight covered her mouth and dragged her away on the king’s orders.
  • Naofumi agreed to duel Motoyasu to get Raphtalia back while the nobles mocked him and the king’s guards threatened him.

Ch. 23Interlude: A trip down memory lane (Part one)

Ye Uchiha grew up in a loving family, but learned that his father, Natsuno Uchiha, would join an Uchiha surprise attack on the Senju Clan. Realizing the war could take someone he loved, Ye begged his father to stay.

  • Natsuno Uchiha and Tsubaki Uchiha welcomed their son and named him Ye Uchiha.
  • At four, Ye Uchiha used the Great Fireball Technique and extorted spending money from Natsuno Uchiha by threatening to tell Tsubaki Uchiha about his visits to the Red-Light District.
  • Tsubaki Uchiha caught Natsuno Uchiha and punished him after he returned home, while Ye pretended he knew nothing.
  • Natsuno Uchiha told Ye that the Senju Clan was courting smaller clans and that Uchiha leaders were preparing a surprise attack, which he would join.
  • Ye Uchiha recognized that the coming war could cost him someone dear and asked Natsuno Uchiha to stay.

Ch. 24Spear, Shield, and an Unexpected Turn

Ye Uchiha interrupted Naofumi Iwatani and Motoyasu Kitamura’s duel, claiming he had acquired a rare treasure he wanted to show everyone. His unusual arrival and the crimson moon left the spectators and king facing an ominous spectacle.

  • Motoyasu Kitamura attacked Naofumi Iwatani, who blocked his thrusts despite being far lower level.
  • Motoyasu Kitamura used Rapid Thrust and wounded Naofumi Iwatani, but barely reduced his HP.
  • Naofumi Iwatani used balloon monsters and his biting dog-shaped shield to frustrate Motoyasu Kitamura.
  • Ye Uchiha appeared between the fighters and interrupted the duel, angering the king and drawing murmurs from the spectators.
  • Ye Uchiha revealed his transformed eyes as the clouds cleared and a crimson moon shone over the courtyard.

Ch. 25Pseudo-Infinite Tsukuyomi, activate

Ye Uchiha hypnotized the king, Pope, nobles, heroes, and everyone else in the castle garden with his Pseudo-Infinite Tsukuyomi. He planned to secretly control Melromarc’s ruling powers so he could build an independent organization, and began rewriting their wills.

  • Ye Uchiha activated his Mangekyō Sharingan and used the blood moon to cast Pseudo-Infinite Tsukuyomi over the castle garden.
  • Naofumi Iwatani, Motoyasu Kitamura, Ren Amaki, Itsuki Kawasumi, the Pope, the king, and the nobles all fell under the genjutsu.
  • Ye Uchiha decided to control Melromarc’s leaders rather than kill them, preserving the kingdom’s government while making them serve him in secret.
  • Ye Uchiha began altering the hypnotized figures’ wills by sending his ocular power through the blood moon.

Ch. 26Gin Ichimaru

After the Waves, Ye Uchiha summoned Gin Ichimaru and used his Mangekyō Sharingan to alter everyone’s memories with Pseudo-Infinite Tsukuyomi. The technique damaged Ye’s eyesight, and Gin carried him away as the hypnotized people began to awaken, including the Pope, who remained hostile toward Naofumi Iwatani.

  • Ye Uchiha summoned Gin Ichimaru after deciding he needed another powerful Servant besides Princess Kaguya.
  • Ye Uchiha finished changing everyone’s memories, but the strain of using his Mangekyō Sharingan worsened his eyesight.
  • As the Phantom Blood Moon faded and people began waking, Ye Uchiha ordered Gin Ichimaru to take him away.
  • Gin Ichimaru hoisted Ye Uchiha over his shoulder and vanished.
  • The Pope awoke with a stabbing headache, suspected he had forgotten something, and looked on Naofumi Iwatani and his Small Shield with disgust.

Ch. 27Interlude: A trip down memory lane (part two)

Natsuno Uchiha left on a dangerous surprise attack, leaving Tsubaki Uchiha worried and Ye Uchiha to train alone. At the lake, Ye confronted a spiky-haired boy who claimed the spot as his own, kicked him into the water, and fled.

  • Natsuno Uchiha reassured his four-year-old son Ye Uchiha that he would return from the clan's mission and promised to teach him a B-rank ninjutsu.
  • More than half a month after Natsuno's departure, Tsubaki Uchiha worried over his silence while Ye trained at the lake and lamented his limited chakra reserves.
  • A spiky-haired boy claimed the lake as his personal training spot and challenged Ye over using it.
  • Ye argued that the lake belonged to no one, then kicked the boy into the water and ran away.

Ch. 28A conjecture about the Rinnegan

After Princess Kaguya healed Ye Uchiha from his Mangekyō backlash, his eyesight and ocular power recovered, and he suspected her chakra might help him awaken the Rinnegan. He ended the chapter eagerly hoping to persuade her to heal him again, while the inn’s guests mistook his grin for madness.

  • After Ye Uchiha rewrote the Capital's nobles, the Mangekyō backlash left him nearly unconscious, and Gin Ichimaru carried him back to the inn.
  • Princess Kaguya entered Ye Uchiha's room and used her power to soothe the backlash before leaving without a word.
  • The next morning, Ye Uchiha discovered his eyesight had recovered and guessed that Princess Kaguya had healed him.
  • Ye Uchiha asked Princess Kaguya to use her healing ability on him again, and she slapped him through the doorway and shut the door.
  • Ye Uchiha realized that his ocular power had also returned to its peak and speculated that Princess Kaguya's chakra could help him awaken the Rinnegan.
  • Ye Uchiha stared toward Princess Kaguya's room with an eager grin as nearby guests pitied him, believing he was an idiot.

Ch. 29Leaving the Capital

Ye Uchiha decided to leave the Capital with Gin Ichimaru and establish a faction near Lute Village before the next Wave. He set a two-hour departure time and planned to build a hidden base in an abandoned mine.

  • Gin Ichimaru told Ye Uchiha that Naofumi Iwatani had suffered a crushing defeat.
  • Ye Uchiha proposed leaving the Capital to establish their own faction, and Gin Ichimaru agreed to follow him.
  • Ye Uchiha chose an abandoned mine near Lute Village as the site for their base, using the village’s recent devastation to conceal construction.
  • Ye Uchiha noted that about forty-five days remained until the next Wave and planned to recruit workers and specialists while securing resources from the Kingdom of Melromarc.
  • Ye Uchiha told Gin Ichimaru to pack their necessities so they could leave in two hours.

Ch. 30Lute Village and a Reunion with Naofumi Iwatani

Ye Uchiha used a royal decree to take over as lord of Lute Village while leaving its former lord in charge of daily affairs and arranging to build a base in a nearby abandoned mine. He reunited with Naofumi Iwatani and Raphtalia, introduced them to Kaguya Otsutsuki and Gin Ichimaru, and left Naofumi wary of Gin.

  • Ye Uchiha presented the king's decree appointing him lord of Lute Village, unsettling the former lord and villagers.
  • Ye Uchiha told the former lord to keep managing the village and requested workers to build his residence in the abandoned mine.
  • Naofumi Iwatani and Raphtalia arrived, and Ye Uchiha explained that he had been appointed lord and planned to stay in the area.
  • Ye Uchiha introduced Kaguya Otsutsuki and Gin Ichimaru as his companions; Naofumi felt threatened by Gin but returned his handshake.

Ch. 31On the importance of building a power base

Ye Uchiha explained why he planned to build a secret base in an abandoned mine and reflected on how a unified shinobi world might have prevented later wars. He arranged for Raphtalia to take Princess Kaguya sightseeing while the mine was renovated.

  • Naofumi Iwatani asked Ye Uchiha whether he planned to live in Lute Village, and Ye said he would make a home in a nearby abandoned mine.
  • Ye explained that he wanted to keep his base secret while he built up his strength and influence.
  • Ye recalled proposing that the shinobi world be unified, but Hashirama Senju had rejected the idea, and Madara Uchiha and Tobirama Senju had sided with him.
  • Ye reflected that after Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha were gone, the great nations fought successive shinobi world wars.
  • Ye asked Raphtalia to take Princess Kaguya sightseeing while the mine was renovated, and Naofumi Iwatani told Raphtalia not to go far.

Ch. 32Renovating the Mine

Ye Uchiha began turning the abandoned Mine into a base by using Earth Release to reshape its cavern. After finishing the renovation, he sat down to replenish the chakra he had spent.

  • Naofumi Iwatani learned from Gin Ichimaru that Gin and Princess Kaguya came from other worlds, leaving him uncertain whether the Otherworld was a game or reality.
  • Ye Uchiha, Gin Ichimaru, and Naofumi Iwatani explored the Mine and reached a cavern with a deep pool that Naofumi said had once been mined for ore.
  • Ye Uchiha used Earth Release: Earth and Stone Transformation Technique to level the cavern and smooth its walls while leaving the pool intact as a water source.
  • After more than an hour of work, Ye Uchiha finished renovating the Mine and sat down to restore the chakra he had spent.

Ch. 33The jealous Princess Kaguya

Ye Uchiha, Gin Ichimaru, and Naofumi Iwatani returned to Lute Village after sparring, where Princess Kaguya’s displeasure at Raphtalia greeting Naofumi revealed that she was jealous. The chapter ended with Ye guessing at the reason for Kaguya’s reaction.

  • Gin Ichimaru overwhelmed Naofumi Iwatani in a spar, and Naofumi tried several shield forms, including the Twin-Headed Black Hound Shield and Prison Shield.
  • Gin cut through Naofumi’s steel cage, then ended the spar and criticized Naofumi’s haphazard technique and impatience.
  • Ye Uchiha urged Gin and Naofumi to return to Lute Village, where they found Raphtalia with Princess Kaguya.
  • Raphtalia rushed to greet Naofumi, and Princess Kaguya’s smile vanished as she watched them, radiating a chilling pressure that alarmed Gin and Ye.
  • Naofumi asked Ye why Kaguya looked unhappy, and Ye suspected she was jealous of Raphtalia’s closeness to him.

Ch. 34Building a base and parting ways

Ye Uchiha hired the Lute Village Lord to renovate a mine into a base, while Naofumi Iwatani trained with Gin Ichimaru and watched Filo grow rapidly. On the fifth day, Naofumi left Lute Village with Raphtalia and Filo to travel as a merchant.

  • Ye Uchiha gave the Lute Village Lord a gold advance to begin renovating the mine, though the village needed craftsmen from nearby settlements to complete the work.
  • The Lute Village Lord brought hundreds of craftsmen and materials to the mine, where they worked and camped as they remodeled it.
  • Naofumi Iwatani repeatedly sparred with Gin Ichimaru and lost each match after being worn out.
  • Naofumi’s monster egg hatched into a Philo Bird, which he named Filo, and she grew large enough to pull a cart after a few days of shared experience.
  • On the morning of the fifth day, Naofumi Iwatani departed Lute Village with Raphtalia and Filo, using a traveling merchant’s permit from the Lute Village Lord.

Ch. 35Throne of Heroes? Irisviel? Justeaze?

Ye Uchiha’s abnormal summoning called forth the Throne of Heroes, which became a Noble Phantasm within his heart and manifested as figures identifying themselves as Irisviel and Justeaze. They explained that they embodied the Holy Grail’s will and the Throne’s collective consciousness, while Gin Ichimaru wondered about Ye Uchiha’s origins.

  • Ye Uchiha and Gin Ichimaru prepared a summoning, but the system reported that an beyond-specification summoning had succeeded and a golden palace appeared in the sky.
  • The palace identified itself as the Throne of Heroes, and the system warned Ye Uchiha that its Servants might disobey him.
  • The Throne of Heroes entered Ye Uchiha’s heart, and his Status Window listed it as an Anti-Heroic Spirit Noble Phantasm.
  • Irisviel and Justeaze appeared before Ye Uchiha and explained that they embodied the Holy Grail’s will and the Throne of Heroes’ collective consciousness.
  • Gin Ichimaru sensed a connection between himself and the two new arrivals and wondered who Ye Uchiha really was.

Ch. 36Chaldea (Part One)

Ye Uchiha awoke in a ruined Chaldea and met Romani, who explained that the organization had survived Ritsuka Fujimaru’s victory over Goetia before detecting worlds beyond their universe. Romani recounted how pressure from the Mage’s Association forced Chaldea to begin exploring those dangerous Otherworlds.

  • Ye Uchiha woke in an abandoned laboratory and met Romani, who identified him as Chaldea’s last Master.
  • Romani explained that Ritsuka Fujimaru had stopped Goetia and restored peace before Chaldea detected signals from other worlds.
  • Romani showed Ye Uchiha visions of powerful beings and conflicts from the Otherworlds Chaldea had discovered.
  • Romani explained that the Clock Tower, Atlas Institute, and Wandering Sea sought access to the Otherworlds and their supposed Roots despite the danger of opening gateways.
  • The mage factions threatened to withdraw Chaldea’s funding if Romani refused to cooperate, forcing him to approve exploration of the Otherworlds.

Ch. 37Chaldea (Part Two)

Romani explained how Chaldea compromised with outside factions, reached the Otherworld, and became complicit in an invasion of Inuyasha’s world over the Shikon Jewel. After the mages gathered the Jewel’s fragments, Romani revealed that it could not grant wishes or reach the Root, while the disaster remained unexplained.

  • Romani explained that Chaldea accepted the outside factions’ demands because it needed supplies and support to protect the Human Order, and that Ritsuka Fujimaru was too vulnerable to protect alone.
  • Romani said Chaldea spent several years researching a route to the Otherworld and eventually crossed over using the Holy Grail and Heroic Spirits.
  • Mages invaded an ancient world of monsters, hunted the Shikon Jewel’s fragments, and provoked a war with local yokai and spiritual practitioners.
  • The mages won at great cost, captured or killed many opponents for research, and watched nations occupy and divide the conquered territory.
  • Romani revealed that the Shikon Jewel could not grant wishes or open a path to the Root, though it could amplify magical energy and resurrect the dead under strict conditions.

Ch. 38Chaldea (Part 2)

Romani revealed that the Chaldea Alliance’s conquests had caused the Holy Grail to unleash black mud that corrupted Ritsuka Fujimaru and destroyed countless worlds. He sent Ye Uchiha back as Chaldea’s last chance to change the future, warning him about Ritsuka, the black mud, and the Throne of Heroes.

  • Ye Uchiha watched images of the Chaldea Alliance’s expansion and learned that its leaders planned to invade a world for the Dragon Balls.
  • The alliance’s conquests and the resentment of the worlds it had ravaged caused black mud to overflow from the Holy Grail, corrupting Ritsuka and her Heroic Spirits.
  • Corrupted Ritsuka and her Servants defeated the alliance as the black mud spread across worlds and annihilated them.
  • Romani explained that Chaldea had sent the Guardian Heroic Spirit Summoning System: Fate into the past, and Ye learned that nine previous Masters had failed and died.
  • Romani warned Ye not to attack Ritsuka, cause world-scale disasters, touch the black mud, or challenge the threat alone, then vanished as the space around Ye shattered and pulled him away.

Ch. 39How About... Two Summons to Start?

Ye Uchiha learned that his mission was to stop Gudako, a terrifying Beast of Humanity, and considered how to use the Throne of Heroes to prepare for the threat. After confirming that Irisviel could convert his chakra into od, he chose to begin with two Heroic Spirit summons.

  • Ye Uchiha realized that Romani had sent him to stop Gudako, who had already killed nine transmigrators and could overpower Grand Servants.
  • Ye Uchiha asked whether he could summon Heroic Spirits, and Justeaze explained that he could summon them without restrictions but would need Irisviel to establish contracts.
  • Justeaze said Ye Uchiha had enough energy for about five summons, and Irisviel offered to convert his chakra into od.
  • Ye Uchiha decided to summon two Heroic Spirits while keeping energy in reserve, and Justeaze began the summoning ritual.

Ch. 40Caster, Assassin: The Servants arrive

Ye Uchiha summoned Paracelsus von Hohenheim and Hassan of the Hundred Faces, then asked them to become his Servants. After their contracts were established, he considered pursuing power in other worlds instead of continuing to grind levels.

  • Paracelsus and Hassan of the Hundred Faces appeared from the summoning circle and pledged to serve Ye Uchiha.
  • Paracelsus recognized that the Holy Grail War was irregular, while Ye Uchiha explained that he had summoned them from another world.
  • Paracelsus and Hassan agreed to obey Ye Uchiha, and Irisviel used the Holy Grail to establish their contracts.
  • Ye Uchiha received notifications confirming the Caster and Assassin contracts and learned he could communicate with the Servants telepathically.
  • Ye Uchiha concluded that reaching higher levels would take too long and considered traveling to other worlds to acquire new powers.
