Those utterly cold words left the man's mouth without a trace of emotion.
"Hey, that's my prey!"
The speaker was Capulias, who had been pinned to the ground earlier. He had now stood up, his whole body covered in dark green dragon scales, with a thick dragon tail behind him. Although his injured leg was still bleeding, it no longer seemed to be much of a problem.
"Hmm?"
The man in the loose kimono glanced back at Capulias.
Seeing his appearance, he silently tucked the sword in its antiquated sheath into his arms and said,
"I've always thought you looked like a giant target when you turned into that enormous dragon. This is easier on the eyes."
"What do you know? That is the very symbol of power! I'm going in!"
With that, Capulias slowly walked forward. The man in the loose kimono showed no intention of moving. He stood there with the sword in its antiquated sheath cradled in his arms, calmly watching Capulias walk away.
"What? Your friend isn't going to fight?"
Kazaan tilted his head as he looked at the dragon-scaled Capulias.
"I'm more than enough to deal with you."
Capulias's tone suddenly grew steady as he looked at Kazaan.
"Ha! I'm not that useless fool! Have you already forgotten..."
Kazaan laughed and pointed at himself.
"Which filthy bug I slapped into the ground just now?"
As soon as he finished, a surge of Conqueror's Haki filled with blood-red killing intent swept toward Capulias!
"Hmph!"
Capulias merely snorted, meeting it with equally dense Conqueror's Haki!
Kazaan's murderous Haki, which had almost completely overwhelmed Capulias's earlier, was now canceled out by Capulias's Haki!
"What?"
Kazaan's expression turned somewhat strange.
Haki could not be strengthened through training. There was only one explanation for this: Capulias had grown stronger again.
