He had come here to find Doflamingo, of course, but where was he supposed to look in a country this vast?
Barn activated Mind's Eye, but all he saw were stretches of woodland, nothing but tall trees. Fitz, meanwhile, paid no attention to any of that and was already having a wonderful time flying overhead.
"Looks like I'll have to try the town..."
Barn muttered to himself as he stepped into the forest.
Keeping Mind's Eye active, Barn reached the town, only to find it bustling with extraordinary prosperity. The streets were packed with people, along with things whose outlines did not look quite human. Those were the people Doflamingo had turned into toys.
An enormous, castle-like building appeared within Barn's Mind's Eye, reminding him of what Buzzby had said earlier.
"If Dressrosa has been seized by Doflamingo..."
That wild thought surfaced in Barn's mind, yet it only lent more weight to Buzzby's suspicions. Barn frowned at the castle-like building.
"If that's really the case, he must be in there."
Barn spoke calmly, but his feet were already carrying him toward it.
Barn soon reached the foot of the castle-like building, where a tightly shut gate barred his way. Several soldiers standing on the walls spotted the uninvited visitor.
"Hey! Who are you down there? Stay away from the Royal Palace!"
At the soldier's warning, Barn nodded and murmured to himself.
"Looks like this is the place."
Barn's voice was so quiet that the soldier naturally failed to hear him and called out again.
"Hey! Answer me! Who exactly are you?"
He had already aimed his spear at Barn, looking highly wary.
Barn did not answer him immediately. Instead, he slowly placed his hand against the wall.
"Hey! Who are you? Are you deaf? Or mute?"
