Dressed in flashy clothes, with a little ringed tail on her backside, Lia sauntered over with a letter in one hand. Uh, in her other hand, she held a bird dressed as a mail carrier upside down. Its eyes gazed pitifully at Barn, though Barn couldn't see any of that. The poor bird had no idea its pleading was going to waste.
Barn was leaning against the bar, accepting a glass of rum from Ayusa with an ingratiating smile.
"A letter? Someone actually wrote to me?"
Barn gave Lia a puzzled "look" as he spoke.
"Lia, you're picking on the mail bird again..."
Barn spoke helplessly at the sight of Lia.
The mail bird immediately began struggling fiercely, as though hoping Barn would save it. But Lia's next words filled it with mortal terror...
