Barn looked at Miss All Sunday with a meaningful expression.
"What choice?"
Unlike Barn, Miss All Sunday wasn't blind. Naturally, she saw the meaning in his expression and couldn't help asking.
At the sound of Miss All Sunday's voice, Crocodile turned to look at her, a barely perceptible trace of anger lurking deep in his eyes.
But Miss All Sunday was no ordinary woman. She naturally noticed that her current boss was in a foul mood and gave Crocodile an apologetic smile.
Barn paid none of that any mind. Still facing Miss All Sunday, he spoke slowly.
"The other choice... is to abandon this so-called plan and come with me."
Smack!
If Crocodile could still tolerate this, he wouldn't have been Crocodile. His huge palm slammed down on the table, even making the lamp stand in its center sway. He rose to his feet, making no effort to hide the anger in his eyes as he glared fiercely at Barn.
"What do you mean by that, Barn?!"
Barn remained as infuriatingly nonchalant as ever.
"What do I mean? Isn't it obvious enough? I'm poaching your people."
The faint smile that never left Barn's face finally struck a nerve in Crocodile's head.
"You!"
Everyone had expected Crocodile to make a few threats, but instead, he slowly sat down, his expression so dark it seemed water might drip from it.
"So there's nothing left to discuss?"
Barn didn't answer. He merely smiled in silence.
Without an answer, Crocodile naturally understood everything. He slowly lowered his hand beneath the table, and a terrifying silence settled over the room, broken only by a barely audible rustling...
It was the sound of sand falling to the floor...
"Desert Spada!"
An enormous blade of sand suddenly appeared, slicing the table between them cleanly in two. Its
