A massive warship had reached the Calm Belt using seastone and Vegapunk's technology and now lay on the windless, tranquil sea. Beside it, however, sat an ornate red pirate ship powered by two enormous snakes.
The Kuja national emblem was painted in black on the ornate pirate ship. On the other side of the Marine warship beside it, the lifeless carcass of a Sea King floated alone on the water.
"You've got some nerve, anchoring your ship in a sea full of monsters."
A female warrior dressed in the distinctive clothing of Amazon Lily ran to the pirate ship's railing and called out to the people aboard the massive warship.
At her words, the Marines aboard the warship gathered on deck with the Vice Admiral leading them. He was Momonga, the Marine Headquarters Vice Admiral whom Barn had driven back and severely wounded in Mock Town. Now, it seemed the injuries Barn had inflicted on him had healed completely.
Momonga walked to the edge of the ship, leaning on his long sword. The blood on its blade had yet to dry completely as he addressed the people aboard the pirate ship.
"Oh, we were attacked just a moment ago."
Momonga spoke calmly. Judging by his words, the Sea King that had attacked them was now floating in the sea beside them.
"Even with seastone fitted to our Marine warship and everyone hardly daring to breathe, being discovered was inevitable after anchoring here so long!"
"We had no choice... Under the agreement between the Kuja and the government, we are forbidden to enter the waters within three kilometers of Amazon Lily's coast."
