Barn sat on the bed with his head in his hands. Inside his mind, a little devil version of himself and another dressed as an angel argued endlessly. Their bickering made him frown. He waved a hand, and both miniature Barns vanished.

Barn let out a long breath and climbed out of bed, but his hand went to his sword's hilt...
Outside Laboon's body, Fisher Tiger was fighting the Marine Vice Admiral who had come to arrest him. The man wore an unusually tall hat and had a beard and an expressionless face. He was one of the long-headed people whose skulls were said to be exceptionally long.
He was Vice Admiral Strawberry, a current Marine Vice Admiral and a student of the former Marine Admiral, "Black Arm" Zephyr!
Fisher Tiger was strong, but that was all. At best, he was on roughly the same level as Leonard and Oniwood.
He and Vice Admiral Strawberry were locked in a fierce battle, but Strawberry was not the only Marine there. Several Commodores were helping him surround and attack Fisher Tiger. Meanwhile, Fisher Tiger's strongest fighters were tied up by another Marine Vice Admiral-Vice Admiral Bastille, who wore a huge steel mask and wielded the enormous Shark Cutter-and could not come to his aid.
