"It's so dark. Am I in the land of the dead?"
Fisher Tiger wondered.
But after a while, his vision returned, revealing the familiar ceiling of the Captain's Quarters.
"That's strange. I should have died from blood loss. How could..."
Fisher Tiger instinctively reached down and felt his body, but all he found were layer upon layer of bandages.
"Could it be..."
Seemingly realizing something, Fisher Tiger immediately jumped out of bed and pushed open the door to the Captain's Quarters.
"Alad... din..."
Fisher Tiger was about to call for Aladdin and ask what had happened, but he spotted Barn sitting against the mast, with Fitz perched on his head and a sword cradled in his arms, "watching" him.
"You're awake?"
Barn asked calmly.
"Yeah. What exactly..."
"I gave you a transfusion of human blood."
At Barn's question, Fisher Tiger had simply nodded and started to ask what had happened, only for Barn's next words to stop him cold.
"What?!"
Hearing Barn's words, Fisher Tiger looked utterly shocked, his eyes widening like two brass bells.
"Why?! I already told you! I didn't want it!"
In his agitation, Fisher Tiger even drew a dagger from behind his waist and thrust it toward his own heart!
But Barn, who had risen without him noticing, caught his knife hand.
Barn smiled as he "looked" at Fisher Tiger.
But to Fisher Tiger, that smile was unbearably hateful. He kept straining with his knife hand, only for Barn's stronger grip to hold him back.
"Don't waste your strength. Dying isn't so easy with me around."
Barn said it with the same smile.
Fisher Tiger raised his head and stared wide-eyed at Barn's face for a long time. In the end, though, his gaze grew evasive, unable to meet those eyes that could no longer see.
