Mihawk's hawklike eyes remained fixed on Barn.
"Don't speak too soon. Wouldn't it be embarrassing if a junior like me cut you down?"
As Hawk-Eye spoke, he pointed the Black Blade straight at Barn.
"Heh..."
Barn shook his head with an amused chuckle.
"Don't be so sure of yourself, young man."
Mihawk was naturally unhappy about Barn calling him a "young man." He knew Barn had eaten the Life Fruit and would never age, but Barn actually looked even younger than he did.
Mihawk's brow furrowed slightly, and a flicker of anger appeared deep in his eyes.
"Enough talk."
Mihawk said no more. He spun the enormous Black Blade once in his hand, gripped it firmly with both hands, then brought it down with a fierce slash!
"Cleave!"
With Mihawk's explosive shout, a massive dark green slash flew toward Barn!
The fierce wind from the blade rushed straight at Barn's face. Tilting his head slightly, Barn leaped up and met the terrifying slash with Nidai Kitetsu firmly in his hand!
"Hm?"
Barn was slightly surprised. This time, it wasn't a clash between two flying slashes. He had caught the attack directly with Nidai Kitetsu.
Feeling the tremendous force transmitted through Nidai Kitetsu, Barn was a little taken aback. Hawk-Eye was still very young, after all.
Barn didn't hesitate. Of course, he had no time to hesitate either. He adjusted his posture in midair, pressed down on Nidai Kitetsu, and spun once.
