Madara Uchiha got up and searched the wardrobe for clothes without the Uchiha Clan Crest.
Indra shot him a sidelong glance, walked up behind him, and placed a black kimono in his hands. "Wear this."
Madara Uchiha looked at the garment in his hands. Six tomoe formed a subtle pattern on its lining. "These aren't my clothes," he said, puzzled.
"They're mine. Yours were too ugly, so I threw them out." Indra stepped back, tucked his hands into his sleeves, and waited for him to change.
[Wish System: Host, you only threw his clothes away after slashing them to shreds.] [Indra: They were ugly enough to interfere with awakening my Mangekyo Sharingan. That's why I slashed them.] Wish System: ...
Madara Uchiha thought nothing more of it. He slipped on the kimono and went over to the wall to get his Ninja Sword, only for a pair of hands to land on his shoulders. Then everything went black.
When they reappeared, they were already in the woods by the Naka River, and his hands were empty. He pouted. "Big brother, can you give me a warning next time you use that technique? I didn't bring my sword."
"With me here, you won't get hurt." Indra walked ahead of Madara Uchiha and extended his senses, already locating their targets.
Spotting wildflowers beside the path, Madara Uchiha plucked a handful, picked out the prettiest one, and secretly tucked it into Indra's hair as they strolled toward the river.
"I don't care. Take those trousers off and give them to me."
As soon as they reached the riverbank, they saw two people arguing on the opposite side. One clutched his trousers tightly while the other tugged at a trouser leg.
"Hashirama, so you're wearing your little sister's trousers!"
Madara Uchiha planted a hand on his hip and mocked him. He thought his own big brother absolutely outclassed the other boy's little sister. Just look at that all-green outfit-his taste in clothes was atrocious, not even half as good as his brother's.
At the sound of his voice, Hashirama and Tobirama both turned around.
That single turn scared Madara into pulling back the foot he had been about to step forward with. Feeling his big brother's gaze, he met his eyes, and they exchanged a silent conversation.
Indra: ... This is it? Are you trying to drag me down to this level?
Madara Uchiha: ... I expected a pleasant surprise, not a fright!
At this point, Nii-san didn't merely outshine Hashirama's little sister-he utterly crushed him. There were hardly any ugly people in the Uchiha.
Tobirama Senju noticed the strange expressions on the two faces across the river. They were staring at him as though he were a monkey. Sensing something was wrong, he abruptly released Hashirama's trousers and ran to the riverbank. The water reflected a horrifying face, frightening him so badly that he fell on his backside.
He wiped a hand across his face. Some unknown red-and-white mess had been smeared all over it. Fury surged through him, and he roared, "Big... brother! What did you do to me?!"
The instant Tobirama shouted, Hashirama grabbed his throat. His normal boyish voice turned shrill, as though a chicken feather had lodged in his throat.
The corners of Indra's and Madara's otherwise expressionless mouths twitched in perfect unison.
"Heh... your little sister certainly has... a distinctive look." Madara Uchiha genuinely couldn't think of a word to describe this girl. No wonder he rarely saw female Senju ninja on the battlefield. So they were ugly.
Unable to endure the humiliation, Tobirama Senju broke free of Hashirama's grip and crouched by the river to wash the mess off his face. Only after making sure his own face was showing again was he satisfied.
When he looked back at the pair across the river, they still had their hands tucked into their sleeves and wore identical expressions, just as they had from the start. A vein throbbed between his brows in anger. He had never felt so humiliated.
"Wow, is this your big sister? She's beautiful! She doesn't look like the raging she-dragon you described!"
Hashirama ran over from the opposite bank, but just as he approached Indra, Madara stepped between them.
"Hey, don't make things up."
Madara Uchiha could feel his big brother's chilling gaze boring into him. He turned stiffly and saw that his brother's smile didn't reach his eyes. Guilt gnawing at him, he explained, "No, I didn't say that. I love my... big sister most."
"Is that so?" Indra rested a hand lightly on Madara's shoulder, then tightened his fingers around his shoulder blade. Bending slightly, he brought his face close to Madara's. "Is that how you introduce your big sister to your friends?"
"Mm, yes, yes. This is Hashirama." The pain in Madara Uchiha's shoulder was so intense he nearly passed out. He bit down hard on his tongue to stay conscious while inwardly cursing the damned Senju. They really were treacherous.
"Big sister, your name is Unrivaled, right? Invincible told me you were beautiful, but I never imagined you'd be even prettier in person. Are you seeing anyone?"
Completely captivated by Indra in women's clothing, Hashirama had already forgotten his own little brother. At the sight of Invincible's big sister, the image of a fiery rose sprang into his mind.
He finally understood why matchmaking dates were such a pain: he had never met someone who was his type.
Although they didn't know each other, he had felt close to him at first sight-even closer than he felt to Invincible.
This was a destined bond. First he had met the little brother, then the big sister, and in the future, they would become a family.
Indra closed his eyes to keep his Sharingan from activating involuntarily. Unrivaled, my ass. Invincible, my ass. You said you'd made up fake names, so why didn't you tell me they were this tasteless?
"Sorry, I already have a child." Indra kept up his facade. Despite sensing that loathsome chakra, he held himself back from beating the boy up.
Crack!
Hashirama felt something shatter.
"Invincible, didn't you say your big sister wasn't married? Why?! Why?!" Tears poured down Hashirama's face like a fountain. Grabbing Madara's clothes, he shook him wildly. "My heart is broken!"
Madara Uchiha hadn't expected Nii-san to simply say he already had a child. That... certainly was a good way to reject someone's confession.
"Is it really okay to abandon your little sister like that?" Dizzy from all the shaking, Madara Uchiha escaped his clutches and followed Nii-san toward the opposite bank, taking another look at this... despicable Senju girl.
A girl?
Why did this Senju girl seem so...
Madara Uchiha looked him up and down and spotted what he had missed: there was nothing feminine about him!
Right. He was no different from a man.
It was one thing not to be as good-looking as Nii-san, but his taste in clothes was awful too. And that stance... legs spread apart, just like the old men in the clan.
While Madara examined Tobirama Senju, Tobirama Senju was also examining the pair.
The first thing Tobirama Senju noticed was their clothing. The fabric had subtle woven patterns and looked like the pure silk worn by nobles, rather than the cotton and linen used by ninja.
His big brother had told him they were ninja. They were very likely guards assigned to protect nobles.
Ninja wouldn't wear clothes made of that fabric. Not only was it expensive, it was difficult to clean.
So his big brother might have been right when he said they weren't Uchiha.
Still, he would need to go back and investigate the origin of those woven patterns before he could pin down their identities.
Indra studied Tobirama Senju closely. He looked terribly familiar, as though Indra had seen him somewhere before. Staring at his face, Indra searched his memories and realized this was Tobirama Senju-the man who had killed Izuna and schemed to drive Madara out of the village.
Life and death on the battlefield were unpredictable, and there was nothing wrong with plotting against an enemy. But Madara was the reincarnation of his chakra, and now his brother. This debt had to be settled.
Then another question occurred to him. Tobirama Senju... was a woman?
