Lucy held the Blazing Longsword tightly before her chest.

She did not even have a moment to block. Lucy was blasted straight from where she stood by the Super Strength Demon's claw, leaving not even an afterimage behind.

"How could she be this weak?" Ye Liang frowned. He had originally planned to complete the mission casually, but the angel before him was even frailer than she had claimed to be.

He had wanted to watch from the sidelines, but now he had no choice but to step in!

Just as Ye Liang faced the demon alone, Lucy Hart Sophia's eyes slowly narrowed shut. Looking at Ye Liang's back, she grew increasingly puzzled. "Why does your back look so familiar? It feels like I've seen it somewhere before."

"Heh, you little tailing pests, I finally shook you off." Lucy walked through an empty mountain ravine. This was a place rumored to harbor demons.

She had already sent soldiers to investigate and confirm that demons had indeed left traces here. She knocked the soldiers unconscious and came here alone, because only by killing a demon on her own could she earn the Empire's badge.
