"Tobi," Nagato said, gazing at the green chakra in his palm. His voice was calm, yet carried unquestionable authority. "This power you provide does not come from nothing. Does it have a limit? How can I sustain it?"
"Yep, yep! Boss Nagato really is a god-you got straight to the point!" A touch of silliness returned to Tobi's voice, though he still sounded weak. "Tobi was created from Hashirama cells. Even though Tobi can keep supplying chakra, Tobi needs to replenish his energy too! Just like you need to eat, Boss Nagato!"
Nagato was not distracted by Tobi's antics. He patiently waited for him to continue.
"Tobi needs to absorb Yang Release chakra, Wood Release chakra, or... tailed beast chakra!" Tobi's voice grew excited. "Tailed beast chakra is the best! As long as Tobi can absorb a tailed beast's chakra, Tobi can recover quickly and give Boss Nagato even more power! Unlimited Wood Release, unlimited chakra!"
Nagato's gaze shifted slightly. Tailed beast chakra? That was precisely the core energy the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path needed for his Eye of the Moon Plan. Now, he too needed that power to maintain his peak condition.
