The Shadow Clone had given the two of them basic treatment. Though their faces were still bruised and swollen, at least their lives were no longer in danger. Zabuza struggled to prop himself up, his eyes still filled with resentment and anger.
"You... what do you want?" Zabuza's voice was hoarse, but it still carried an air of unbowed defiance.
Toru Kujyo walked up to him and looked down at the "Demon of the Hidden Mist." "I'll give you a choice. Die here, or come with me."
"I'd rather..." Zabuza was about to say he would rather die, but Haku grabbed his arm.
"Lord Zabuza." Haku's voice was soft, yet strangely composed. "As long as we're alive, there's hope."
Looking at Haku's delicate yet resolute face, Zabuza felt his anger gradually subside. The boy was right. As long as they lived, they still had a chance to turn things around.
"We'll come with you." Haku made the decision for Zabuza.
Toru Kujyo nodded, then frowned as he looked at Gato lying at the edge of the rubble. Despicable as the fat man was, he still had his uses.
"Clone," he said to the Shadow Clone beside him, "take this runt out of the Land of Waves and dump him somewhere remote. Remember, don't let him die. I still have a use for him."
The Shadow Clone nodded, walked over, and grabbed the unconscious Gato, slinging him over one shoulder. A few leaps later, the clone vanished into the night.
Toru Kujyo created another Shadow Clone, then said to Zabuza and Haku, "We should get going too."
"Where?" Haku asked.
"The black market," Toru Kujyo replied flatly. "I need to buy a few things."
