A moment later, the trunk of the Paper Tree rippled like water, and Deva Path Pain slowly stepped out. He stood at the edge of a cliff, his cold Rinnegan surveying the surroundings.
Almost simultaneously, the space beside him twisted into a vortex, and Obito Uchiha emerged wearing an orange, single-eyed mask. Right after him, another figure appeared soundlessly on the other side-Uchiha Itachi, dressed in an Akatsuki robe, his expression stern.
"The target has yet to appear," Deva Path Pain said tonelessly.
"He's very cautious. Zetsu's information can't be wrong. He should be somewhere nearby." Obito's raspy voice rang out, his lone scarlet eye gleaming dangerously.
Uchiha Itachi remained silent, his calm gaze as unfathomable as a deep pool.
Meanwhile, in a distant corner of the Black Market, a Shadow Clone Toru Kujyo had left behind was speaking with the fat merchant from before, apparently asking about the arrival of a new batch of materials. Just then, a middle-aged man in a finely tailored suit and Gold-Rimmed Glasses walked past. Looking like an ordinary wealthy merchant, he casually glanced at the Shadow Clone.
The Shadow Clone's movements paused ever so slightly.
This guy... Through his Shadow Clone's senses, Toru Kujyo's original body frowned almost imperceptibly. With the Tenseigan's perception, he had caught a trace of distinctly incongruous chakra on the middle-aged man. It was extremely faint, yet completely out of place against the surroundings.
The Mayfly Technique? White Zetsu... Toru Kujyo sneered inwardly. They really do get everywhere. He almost fooled even the Tenseigan completely. Looks like I underestimated his ability to hide.
He immediately realized that not only had his enemies assembled a powerful lineup, but they had already infiltrated the areas he might frequent through White Zetsu's nearly undetectable methods.
