In this city, West Berlin's most important coastal port, the Inner River God Cult's membership had grown from fewer than thirty three years ago to around three hundred.
Among those three hundred were many members of the middle class.
One was even the harbor's tax collector.
The man in charge of them was Dale Bock, a priest of the Inner River God Cult.
He was a practitioner of the mystical side who possessed no blessings, but did possess an entry rank mystic art.
Dale Bock had orchestrated the earlier raid on the Lady of Suffering's harbor base. The priest had sacrificed twelve faithful followers in exchange for an entry rank strike, flooding the shipyard with water from the Inner River.
The Inner River God Cult originated in the Inner Bay.
The little tavern the Inner River God Cult had established beside Aiteil Path in West Berlin had grown into something resembling the Hidden Market.
They recruited reliable manpower there.
They had also formed twelve of those recruits into a mercenary unit called the Torrent Squad.
The Inner River God Cult had been responsible for the earlier massacre in Dora Village.
The massacre that wiped out Akenel had also been the Inner River God Cult's doing.
Reportedly, these incidents were connected to the wealthy Belt Family of the Inner Bay.
The notebook's contents were a jumble, and most of the entries were unrelated.
Fortunately, Arthur's memory had improved dramatically as his [Spirituality] increased. Following along as Lucius read through it once was enough for him to memorize everything.
