The Imperfect Vampire Ancestor Insect had no desire to follow a madman, much less die alongside one.
If possible, Abel would much rather die of old age.
All it wanted-
Was to live!
Even living without dignity would do!
Otherwise, it would not have refused to give up when all it had left was a head!
And now, of course, it had to fight for its right to keep living.
Holding nothing back, Abel told Arthur about the madness of those so-called "demigods," repeatedly emphasizing that "demigods" had no chance of becoming true deities-
"They can't become true deities?"
"They can't!"
Abel answered Arthur's question with absolute certainty.
But a moment later, the Imperfect Vampire Ancestor Insect hesitated again.
"They probably can't, right?
Unless they're true deities who have ignited genuine 'divine fire,' the 'poison of faith' will destroy anyone who dares accept the 'power of faith.'"
There really were no such beings in its fragmented memories.
But it could not guarantee that none existed in the memories it had lost.
Faced with Abel's hesitation, however, the South Los Medium smiled, and the voice in his mind grew gentler still—
"Take a look at 'Mihailo.'"
"Huh?"
Abel looked utterly bewildered.
If the Imperfect Vampire Ancestor Insect had possessed arms, it would have scratched its head.
What was there to look at about someone stuffed inside a coffin?
Still, the power of the Contract made Abel involuntarily look toward the Lead Box coffin.
Yet it could see nothing unusual.
The Imperfect Vampire Ancestor Insect grew even more bewildered.
Sensing Abel's confusion, Arthur offered a reminder in his mind.
"Why do you think the Marquis of West Berlin and the Grand Duke of Inner Bay are both 'pursuing' this 'Lady of Pain'?
