• Arthur found Harris’s notes and an incomplete Watchlight Lamp, then watched Orr kill Edith and frightened Bernice into fleeing for help.

Back in South Los, he and Malinda began plotting around the Athos Golden Box, with Malinda asking Arthur to explain the Church incident involving Adam.

• Arthur borrowed Malinda’s protective gloves to shield himself from the death aura and continued toward Ymir Manor, while his fame brought him XP and he improved his Mystic Arts.
• Arthur and Simon reached Jia'er Mountain Town, where Arthur found mystic-art items among the belongings of three dead Mediums and investigated the suspicious disappearances near Ymir Manor.
• Arthur learned that Lato was actually William, who had taken Ymir Manor and conducted experiments there, while William ordered his cursed monsters to kill Arthur.
• Arthur destroyed the banyan tree and defeated William, who pledged his soul to Arthur before beginning a lich rebirth and later awakening as a half-lich.
• Arthur found William’s incomplete Book of Death, learned its history and several death-related Mystic Arts, then discovered Fritz’s hidden arsenal beneath Ymir Manor.

Arthur used Ymir Manor to eliminate threats, secure Malinda’s cooperation, and draw Jimte and Carral into his plans. After revealing himself as the Black Cat and accepting their loyalty, he redirected them from schemes to seize West Berlin Territory toward a more important task.

• Arthur secretly turned the wasteland ambush into a deadly spectacle, killed more than a hundred scouts, and buried their bodies with traps to deter the Peeping Ones.
• Arthur negotiated a tea contest with Jimte that could secure tax-free access for his fleet, while Carral backed away from a challenge after Arthur asked what he would wager.
