Belial gazed into the depths of the darkness with an interested expression. Grete followed behind him without a sound, looking in the same direction.
Vira sat atop Fat Jack's robot. Both of them were scanning with different instruments, seemingly hoping to gather some information.
Meanwhile, Cheng Yu looked this way and that from Miss Puppet's arms, apparently eager to see the pitch-black space described in the script.
Just then, a voice rang out.
"Welcome to this interesting world, people of the outside world."
No one reacted, not even Fat Jack and Vira, the weakest of these pairs.
The voice continued.
"You are the first group to enter this world, so I've decided to make an exception and tell you about some of this world's interesting features.
"First! This is a cheerful, interesting world, so no going around attacking people! Of course, if you have the strength to crush this mysterious world, you may disregard that rule.
"Second, the residents of this world are all good, law-abiding citizens. You are welcome to visit their homes, but if you prove to be unwelcome guests, they might do things you find rather unpleasant.
"Third, since everyone has joined in, it wouldn't be right not to offer some rewards. How about this? Let's play a little game. Follow the various clues to find me. One more thing-to reward your courage in coming to this world, I'll give you another little treat. The residents of this world call me the God Emperor."
