Patricia, a border planet of the Gonzales Co-Link, was a habitable world discovered three hundred years ago, when Gonzales launched its era of nationwide pioneering.
It was also one of the few "city" planets on the frontier.
Its population was still predominantly Gonzales, with a small number of immigrants from other civilizations.
The population was not particularly large, either-around fifty million. That might sound like a lot, but spread across an entire planet, it was quite sparse.
Most of the population was concentrated in three major cities.
Patricia's Port City was the only city on the planet open to outsiders, primarily interstellar travelers and Star Hunters.
Fortress City, the Gonzales Co-Link's main garrison city on Patricia, was the planet's political center.
Mining City, despite its name, was actually a city where minerals extracted from frontier planets were stored. Its residents were mostly Gonzales mine workers.
Before long, Cheng Yu and his companions arrived in Port City aboard a public shuttle.
The port was bustling. Clearly, these were all Star Hunters who had accepted this mission. At a glance, Cheng Yu saw the port plaza packed with them.
Everyone looked relaxed, nothing like people here on a mission. They looked more like tourists. Among the crowd, Cheng Yu spotted quite a few qualified Hunters and scattered veteran Hunters. Apparently, they had all come hoping to make some money.
Cheng Yu could only sigh. These people were all betting that the Legion would not declare war on the Gonzales Co-Link, but he knew better than anyone that the Legion's attack was inevitable.
He simply did not know how many of the people he saw today would survive. Cheng Yu had never been softhearted, nor did he care about
