Through his conversation with the burly Orc, Cheng Yu learned that his name was Heru and that he had been born in a world of Western fantasy. In that world, Heru's tribe had all but completed its conquest and established its first Orc Empire.
Heru was a member of that empire's royal family. Although he was not a particularly valued member, he was still a figure of considerable importance in his world.
The reason was that twenty years earlier, an envoy from Humankind's Great Qin Celestial Dynasty had arrived in Heru's world, declared it subject to the dynasty's rule, and demanded that its Orc Empire pay tribute.
Unsurprisingly, Heru's father, the Beast Emperor, flatly refused the envoy's demand and tried to execute him for his "outrageous boasts."
The envoy smiled faintly and struck the Orc Empire's capital with a single palm.
The magnificent capital, along with the Beast Emperor and the generals and marshals who had founded the Orc Empire, was reduced to dust by that one strike.
After withdrawing his hand, the envoy spoke softly to the "surviving" members of the royal family.
"I am merely an insignificant minor official serving His Majesty the Human Emperor. In our Heavenly Dynasty, experts who could crush me without so much as lifting a finger are beyond counting. I hope your nation will give this careful consideration."
The new Beast Emperor-Heru's older brother-had led the first tribute mission. After returning, he told Heru of the Great Qin Celestial Dynasty's might and how terrifying it was.
