But a hand reached out and caught Shub by the wrist.

Shub turned and saw Yog's expressionless face.

"You're going to stop me?"

Yog said softly,

"I've watched your show with you for so long. How about watching mine with me this time?"

Shub's tone remained icy. As the Supreme Mother Goddess spoke, that face had already begun to distort, pale yellow horizontal pupils in pitch-black eyes fixed firmly on Yog.

"Do you know what they're planning to do?"

At Shub's words, Yog actually smiled.

"Why would you think I don't?"

Shub's voice also grew hoarse, like the whispers of countless creatures.

"So in the end, you and Nyarlathotep planned all of this?"

Yog shook his head.

"You know I never do that sort of thing. It's just...

I gave my tacit approval to this particular move."

Shub's tone turned murderous yet remained full of maternal warmth. Those contradictory words emerged from a mouth that still retained its shape.

"I said... let go, Yog."

At the same time, an even denser darkness erupted from the wrist Yog held, instantly swallowing the bench he sat on.

The darkness brushed across Yog's face, but nothing happened.

Yog's expression remained unchanged.

"The future has already been anchored. You can't change it. Sit down now, and we can still talk."

Shub said nothing, merely staring at Yog's utterly placid face.

"What if I refuse?"

Without changing his expression, Yog continued,

"You won't."

Shub laughed.

"Is that the future the Omniscient saw?"

Yog said nothing, merely continuing to gaze calmly at the Supreme Mother Goddess, who no longer had a human form.

As Shub sat back down, the darkness vanished. Throughout the Myriad Heavens of the Chaos Sea, it was as though nothing had happened-as though someone had simply pressed pause, then pressed play again.
