Tang Dingyi sought Cheng Yu’s position on the Human Nation’s political strife, but Cheng Yu refused to take sides. Lü Chuan and Lü Youying confronted Cheng Yu about her pregnancy, and Lü Youying asked him to help her keep the child.

• Tang Dingyi asked Cheng Yu how he viewed the political situation, and Cheng Yu said he had no interest in choosing sides.
• Tang Dingyi met Lü Chuan and Lü Youying outside Cheng Yu’s office and learned they had come to verify something with the Chairman.
• Lü Chuan asked Cheng Yu whether he had once been married to Lü Youying and whether he knew she was pregnant; Cheng Yu confirmed their past marriage and explained that the child was not his.
• Lü Chuan tried to slap Lü Youying, but Cheng Yu stopped him and asked why she had come for help.

• The last Dark King arrived and warned the Weird Kings that Yuri Constantine was preparing to attack again.

Cheng Yu searched for the Weird Kings, but found their cities abandoned and learned that the Weird Kings had disappeared. As humanity reclaimed the world over the next five years, he let public criticism of his past actions stand and urged Luo Xia not to punish his critics.

• Cheng Yu chose L'rogg as his first target, but found its city empty and destroyed it; he met the same result while attacking other Weird Kings' cities.
• Cheng Yu carved through the Mist Labyrinth and destroyed it, but The Crawling Mist did not appear.
• Cheng Yu returned to Capital City and told the leaders that the Weird Kings had disappeared; Yun Tian proposed exterminating the remaining Weird, and the leaders agreed.

As Yun Tian led a coup against the Human Nation, Cheng Yu refused the government’s request to return and chose to leave the country. He departed after Zhou Qianyan stayed to defend the Human Nation and Luo Xia chose to remain as well.

• Yun Tian rallied eighty percent of the Human Nation’s Ghost-Tamers to overthrow the government.
• Luo Xia and Zhou Qianyan asked Cheng Yu to return and suppress the uprising, but Cheng Yu refused.
• Cheng Yu invited Zhou Qianyan to leave with him, but Zhou stayed to protect the country he considered his child.
• Zhou Qianyan asked Cheng Yu to help humanity if the situation became desperate, and Cheng Yu agreed as long as it did not conflict with his goals.
• Luo Xia chose to stay, and Cheng Yu vanished from the office.

Months after leaving Capital City, Cheng Yu saw that Yun Tian had established the Ghost-Tamer Nation and that Yuri Constantine was wanted as a fugitive. Cheng Yu revealed himself in Mountain City, then arranged to travel to Capital City as a prisoner to judge whether humanity was still worth saving.

• A news report announced that Yun Tian had taken Imperial Capital Ancient City, Zhou Qianyan had died, and Yuri Constantine and other former officials were wanted.
• After a burly man defended Yuri, Cheng Yu used the man's phone to report himself to the Mountain City Special Affairs Bureau and promised the man his bounty.
• Wu Juyan arrived, denied that Yuri was present, and took Cheng Yu to the bureau while ignoring public accusations that he was a traitor.
• Cheng Yu asked Wu Juyan to escort him to Capital City as a prisoner, explaining that he wanted to see whether the people there were still worth saving.

Cheng Yu traveled to the Imperial Capital Ancient City, where Yun Tian revealed himself as the third Dark King and declared a new Weird era. As Ghost-Tamers mutated worldwide, Cheng Yu prepared to call for backup.

• Ghost-Tamers pampered Cheng Yu on the train and asked why he had not stopped Yun Tian, while Cheng Yu hinted that he hoped someone would challenge him.
• Cheng Yu met Yun Tian, whose tattoos now covered his entire body, and walked with him toward the Imperial Capital Ancient City.

Cheng Yu deployed the Keynes Planetary Fortress and his Annihilator Legion to stop Yun Tian’s Ghost-Tamer mutations, then attacked Yun Tian with the Titan’s weapons. The chapter ended with Yun Tian revealed as a Stitched Abomination King charging at Cheng Yu.

• Cheng Yu ordered the system to send the Keynes Planetary Fortress and Annihilator Legion to San Lorenzo World and harvest its steel resources.
• Keynes arrived beside the world, and the Annihilators began killing mutated Ghost-Tamers while mining operations produced more troops.

Cheng Yu fought Yun Tian, who wielded the abilities of several Weird Kings, and used his Personal Titan and authority fragment to repeatedly weaken him. After the Titan sliced Yun Tian in half and blasted him again, Yun Tian reverted to an ordinary human, but Cheng Yu’s heart sank.

• Yun Tian attacked Cheng Yu with the Darkness Dweller’s appendages, while the system identified several Weird King abilities he had acquired.
• Cheng Yu ordered the Conductors to prepare the Personal Titan’s main cannon and repeatedly froze Yun Tian with the Space Stasis Technique before blasting him with particle beams.

• Cheng Yu's title failed to protect him from the highest-sequence information corruption, so he used Memory Severance Technique on himself.
• Yun Tian revealed that a Weird King had controlled him and used him as a puppet within the Special Affairs Bureau.
• The Weird King took control of Yun Tian and addressed Cheng Yu as Yuri Constantine, also identifying him as Cheng Yu.
• Cheng Yu attacked Yun Tian, but his strikes and beam failed to stop him.
• Yun Tian transformed into Night-Haunter, and Cheng Yu judged that the creature had not reached Legendary rank.

Cheng Yu fought the Night-Haunter for ten days in the ruins of Capital City, culminating in an Epic strike that nearly destroyed his opponent. As Cheng Yu lay exhausted, the Night-Haunter renewed his resolve to ascend and declared himself Nyarlathotep.

• Cheng Yu used the Enabler 0-2 ring to dispel the Crawling Mist and continued hacking at the Night-Haunter with a cleaver.
• The Night-Haunter gathered his remaining world power for a Legendary attack and stole Cheng Yu’s authority fragment.
• Cheng Yu sacrificed nearly all his life force to unleash an Epic strike that swallowed the Night-Haunter, leaving only a small remnant preserved by Yog’s authority fragment.
• Cheng Yu reclaimed the authority fragment and collapsed beside the Night-Haunter, who began recovering as his world power ran out.

Nyarlathotep emerged through the Night-Haunter and contaminated Cheng Yu and the beings around him after introducing themself. Nyarlathotep then made Cheng Yu vanish, before appearing in a library and confronting Yog-Sothoth about powerful space-time interference.

• The Night-Haunter reshaped itself as Nyarlathotep arrived through a spatial rift, and Cheng Yu used Yog's aura and the Door Seal against them.
• Nyarlathotep introduced themself and contaminated Cheng Yu, causing the System, nearby creatures, microorganisms, and even Cheng Yu's hair to hear their own names.
• Nyarlathotep offered Cheng Yu a chance to leave Yog's side, but Cheng Yu refused to switch allegiance.
• Nyarlathotep said they would teach Cheng Yu a lesson, and Cheng Yu vanished before Nyarlathotep disappeared as well.
• Nyarlathotep appeared in a library and asked the middle-aged man in a dark purple suit whether Yog was truly in a weakening period despite the space-time interference.

Nyarlathotep confronted Yog in his bookshop, where Yog questioned them about Shub and revealed that he had long suspected a plot to bind him. Their discussion ended in a growing clash of power while the Mechanical Legion waited outside.

After being revived in a merged worldline, Cheng Yu said goodbye to Luo Xia and Lü Youying, then reunited with Yog, Miss Puppet, and Grete at A Certain Bookshop. He joined them on their next journey after learning that Alaya-vijnana would guide the world's newborn World Will toward treating kind people gently.

Cheng Yu learned that the next setting, Small Heavens, comprised more than seventy universes ruled by six major powers, then Yog arranged for him to reincarnate to sever Nyarlathotep’s lingering connection to him. Cheng Yu was born into a new life and heard a midwife announce that he was a young master.

Cheng Yu was born as an Innate Divine into the powerful Reginald Family, but Father Yog of the Genesis Church took him away as a Chosen One. At the church, Cheng Yu recognized Miss Puppet and Grete before Yog asked how he liked his new body.

• Sherrard ordered witnesses to Cheng Yu’s birth removed, then told Janice their son’s status as an Innate Divine could help the Reginald Family rise again.
• Father Yog arrived at the Reginald estate and told Sherrard he had come to receive the Chosen One.
