Time passed, and two days went by in the blink of an eye. During that time, the people of the Imperial Capital lived in constant fear, while the nobles in the city grew ever more arrogant now that the minister was no longer there to oppose them.
Having never personally faced the approaching White Bandit, the nobles dismissed him entirely. After all, almost all of them had joined the resistance against him, which gave them plenty of confidence.
The common people had thought that eliminating Minister Honest, the Empire's greatest traitor, would make their lives a little easier. They had never expected to face even worse exploitation.
Everyone in Night Raid looked grim as well. "These nobles should all be killed!" Leone said angrily. Had Night Raid not killed a few particularly brazen nobles over the past two days to make an example of them, there was no telling how brutal the others would have become.
"Captain Iron Hammer, will the Army Group be here soon?" Najenda asked, her expression somber.
"Soon. An hour at most!"
"Come on, let's go welcome the main force!" Najenda said.
"Yes! Everyone, this was an oversight on the Holy Church's part! But I'm sure those nobles will get what's coming to them once the main force arrives!" Iron Hammer gave a cold smile.
The members of Night Raid nodded.

A long, silver column swiftly approached the walls of the Imperial Capital!
The nobles' private soldiers on the walls immediately went on alert.
"Legion Commander! First Squad of the First Regiment, reporting!"
Rich smiled and nodded. "Return to your unit!"
"Yes, Legion Commander!"
"You must be the Night Raid squad! We owe much of this operation's success to your joining us and the intelligence you provided!" Rich put away his Holy Light
