The president walked out of the newspaper office with the female reporter and saw four Holy Light Clerics standing ramrod straight at the entrance.
Before he could approach them, however, the lead cleric came over with a warm smile. "You must be President Pier! We're Holy Light Clerics from the Holy Church's Third Army Group. Sorry for dropping by unannounced, but our Legion Commander heard that your newspaper has always reported the news truthfully and responsibly, so he's invited you to tomorrow's press conference!"
"Well..." Pier did not quite know how to respond.
"President, say yes!" The female reporter behind him nudged the stunned president with her arm.
"Ah, yes! It's an honor for the Dawn Newspaper to receive an invitation from your Army Group!" Coming to his senses, Pier immediately clasped the cleric's outstretched hand.
"Then please be sure to arrive on time, President. The conference officially begins at nine tomorrow morning. Here is your invitation. We won't keep you any longer." The cleric politely handed Pier a gold invitation booklet, then snapped to attention, saluted, and headed off to another newspaper office.
"Vivian, what do you think this press conference out of nowhere is actually about?" Pier asked, puzzled as he looked at the gold booklet in his hand.
"Why worry about that, President? We just need to ask questions tomorrow. It'll be the perfect chance to clear up everything we've been wondering about these past few days!" Vivian adjusted her glasses, her face full of anticipation.
"Haha! This is big news!" The president's unease vanished, replaced by sudden excitement.
"Axel, have you fully recovered?" Standing before the Portal, Kumata could not help asking with concern when he saw how much healthier Axel looked.
"Haha, Kumata, what could possibly be wrong with a body like mine?" Axel patted
