As the guardians on the ladder grew stronger and stronger, everyone was shocked by the Holy Church's formidable reserves of power. Once again, they realized that winning the Holy Grail would be far from easy.
"Let's go! No matter what, that Holy Grail is mine!" Ace declared confidently, clenching his fist.
"Hmph, it won't be that easy. I have to cure Lucian!" Wearing his baby bonnet, Senior looked at Ace with a trace of hostility.
Ace seemed to sense Senior's gaze and answered him with a confident smile.
What Adventurer who had made it this far would willingly give up on the Holy Grail? They had only joined forces because the powerful guardians left them no choice.
They then entered the next floor one after another. On the floors that followed, however, they finally learned what it meant to face beasts that were natural disasters unto themselves.
Their savage presence and terrifying strength left countless Adventurers feeling the first stirrings of despair.
"Damn it! Damn it, where did the Holy Church find these monsters?!" Having just survived a Tailed Beast Bomb, Jozu swallowed nervously. Looking at the enormous crater behind him, he could not help trembling.
"Th-the Four Ancient Weapons aren't even this powerful, are they?!" an Adventurer asked, his eyes trembling.
They had barely managed to defeat the first eight monsters, only to discover that the ninth was terrifyingly strong!
"Could these monsters be ranked by how many tails they have?" Ace murmured, quietly studying the nine tails behind Nine-Tails.
"But isn't the gap between the ninth and the first eight way too big?!" Senior narrowed his eyes at Nine-Tails, who stood ahead of them with mockery gleaming in his eyes.
If his Observation Haki had not warned him of the sudden danger, allowing him to dodge in time,
