Within a few days, the Holy Church set its propaganda machine in motion. Over the years, as goods from the Stormwind Kingdom poured in, almost anyone with a little money had acquired small devices such as radios. Since this world had no electricity, the Holy Church had also made certain modifications to these machines.
One example was the Light-Absorbing Magic Circle. With it, any small device that required only a modest amount of electricity could be charged simply by leaving it in the sun for a while.
The Holy Church also priced these small devices very cheaply. As a result, in Azeroth, a world starved of entertainment, radios became immensely popular. Almost every household had one, and even very poor families could buy one by pooling a little money with their neighbors.
The Holy Church normally broadcast all sorts of entertainment programs and agricultural knowledge to the radios via satellite. The nobles had no idea that, quietly and imperceptibly, the Holy Church was stripping away their control over public discourse.
Just as the nobles prepared to sit in the shadows and enjoy watching the Holy Church stumble, a speech titled "What Are Nobles, and Why Must Commoners Live Like This?" began broadcasting across the Human Kingdoms on a massive scale.
In the speech, the host explained the nature of the nobility to the people, working from deeper concepts down to simpler ones. She stripped away the splendid veneer the nobles had wrapped themselves in and cited several cases of nobles forcibly exploiting commoners to stir the people's anger.
At this point, the Holy Church no longer concealed its intentions. Every kingdom was too overwhelmed by its own troubles to pay any attention to the Holy Church's sweeping actions. The endless Undead Army had almost crushed the kingdoms beneath its weight.
