In the New Holy City of Quel'Thalas, several Legion Commanders of the Holy Light Clerics looked toward Pope Ria, seated at the head of the room.
"So you've found the locations of those Old Gods!"
"Yes, Your Holiness!" A flicker of excitement flashed through the eyes of the senior Holy Light Clerics.
"Has anyone checked how badly the seals have been damaged?" Ria asked languidly.
"Those fellows were simply too weak. The seals have only loosened slightly, but we've also studied their methods for breaking them. If the Holy Church intervenes, it shouldn't be much of a problem," Axel reported solemnly.
"Then get to work! They're all nourishment for the Holy Light. For their sake, our Holy Church has, for the first time, indulged those clowns prancing around right under our noses." A trace of disdain curled Ria's lips. Did they really think the Holy Church hadn't noticed those buffoons? It was merely that the self-important fools behind them still had their uses.
"Oh, right! Have the undead on the continent been brought under control? The Holy Church may have its own plans, but we absolutely cannot neglect our duties."
"Rest assured, Your Holiness! We evacuated the villagers in the settlements under our control at the first opportunity. We've also sent Auxiliary Personnel to the other kingdoms to clear those creatures out. Overall, victory is only a matter of time."
"Mm! Good. Once we completely eradicate this world's Old Gods, I believe it will enter a more peaceful age."
"These Old Gods are especially restless. They're constantly trying to release power through their loosened seals to corrupt this world. Fortunately, the Holy Church's legions are stationed around them, blocking their presence with Holy Power."
Looking at her solemn younger brother, Ria smiled faintly. "They won't have another chance. Let's go!
