This earth-shattering scene, which made it seem as though the entire island would split apart, was nothing more than two powerful figures greeting each other.
There was no denying that the scene unfolding before them was shocking and terrifying.
After three successive clashes, even the waters surrounding Bagran Island had been affected by their battle. Fierce winds howled overhead, and swirling dust filled the air.
Once everything settled, however, the two towering figures in town made no further moves.
They stared at each other. After a long while, the stern, grave, and fierce expressions on their faces suddenly vanished, replaced by smiles.
"Mamamamama!"
"Worororo!"
Their laughter collided and mingled, echoing across the entire island and leaving the pirates on the eastern and western shores exchanging bewildered looks.
"They're not fighting anymore?"
"Looks like the two captains have finished saying hello!"
"Next, they should be getting down to business."
Everyone realized that the two sides had finished testing each other. Now it was time for the next stage: a proper discussion.
Bang!
Kaido planted his spiked club, Hassaikai, in the ground beside him, then plopped down, kicking up a great cloud of dust.
Big Mom glanced around, then sat down in the same manner.
"Tell me, Kaido. What exactly are you planning to do?"
After their brief exchange of blows, Big Mom had discovered that her old friend was still as powerful as ever. He had not grown old and weakened like Whitebeard.
That meant he had not been joking about River's formidable strength.
In other words, the fact that River could severely injure a Kaido this powerful made it obvious just how terrifying he was.
"Just as I said, Linlin. Join forces with me!"
Kaido took a deep breath, fixed his eyes on her, and declared in a deep voice.
