Thunder roared and lightning flashed. Dark clouds blanketed the sky above Bagran Island, casting everything into gloom.
Gales howled, and a heavy, oppressive atmosphere filled the air.
At that instant, all three towering figures moved.
Kaido raised Hassaikai high and leaped up, bringing the Kanabo crashing down with dense lightning coiled around it.
Big Mom gripped her greatsword, her eyes wide with rage and her expression twisted with fury.

The gale whipped River's tattered robes and sent his black hair flying. He suddenly grinned, pale blue vapor swaying around him as the tiger's shadow behind him grew even larger.
Though River had only a human body, his presence was no less imposing than that of the two figures before him, both among the Four Emperors.

The air rippled as immense pressure bore down. He abruptly looked up to see Kaido's savage, crushing blow.
"That's some impressive pressure!"
"I like it!"
River flashed a vicious grin and drew the long blade at his waist.
Then, gripping its hilt in his right hand, he swung it fiercely.

A faint dragon's roar seemed to echo through the air. A blue-violet phantom dragon surged from River's blade, becoming a razor-sharp slash that hurtled straight toward Kaido.

Kaido roared and swung his Kanabo.
Lightning shrieked as the Kanabo collided with the dragon-shaped slash. Violent tremors erupted, shaking all of Bagran Island.
