On the Night of the Nine-Tails, the reigning Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, and his wife, Kushina Uzumaki, died.
At the same time, the Nine-Tailed Fox was sealed inside their son, Naruto Uzumaki, who became Konoha's new jinchūriki.
That year, the Konoha 12 were born, and a new era began with them. The Night of the Nine-Tails also laid the groundwork for the Uchiha Clan's unrest.
