After reuniting with Xiao Yu, Duan Rong mastered his many martial intents under Lü Yinlin’s guidance and began building a home on Shang Xiangyu’s mountain.

• Duan Rong and Lü Qingzhu escaped the Mystic Ice Turtle’s lair, and Duan Rong absorbed its Ice Mist before asking Fan Hongjiao to help rescue Xiao Yu.

The God and Demon Illusion then trapped them in a village massacre as starving children, leaving Duan Rong to seek a way to kill the bandit chiefs without cultivation.

• Lü Yinlin revealed that Red Arrow Flower and Azure Flame Grass could save Lü Qingzhu, and Duan Rong promised to find them in the ruins.
• Lü Yinlin opened the God and Demon Ruins early, and Duan Rong entered with Lin Youjian, Guo Tian, and the others.
• Duan Rong saved Du Wan from a Ghost Thorn Devil Taro, then helped the group navigate the ruins and escape the Ghost Bride’s illusion.

• Duan Rong and the children killed Meng Zongqiu, and Jiang Hanyan hung the heads of Meng Zongqiu, Wu Mingfu, and Li Tang to avenge her parents before the illusion ended.
• The group traveled toward the Central Altar, escaped a Corpse Fiend, gathered Red Arrow Flowers, and offered their vital blood to the Golden Coffin.
