While sensing through his soul, Cheng Mingrui gained a great deal of knowledge, much of which could neither be applied nor described in the conventional universe. It could only be understood, not put into words.
Through this knowledge, Cheng Mingrui learned that his very nature had changed. He was no longer an ordinary mortal being. In terms of lifespan, he had achieved immortality.
When facing gods, he would no longer be suppressed by their higher rank, and he had also gained powerful resistance to psychic power.
Not a single fragment of the C'tan remained in the space. Gork and Mork had probably absorbed them all. That might have been why they had told him to dig deeper.
As for what would happen after Gork and Mork absorbed the C'tan Shard, Cheng Mingrui did not yet know. His rank had not reached that level. Still, he suspected that, for the other gods, facing an even more formidable Gork and Mork would surely bring a little more joy to this cruel Galaxy.
After gaining this knowledge, Cheng Mingrui could do different things as well. He waved a hand and grabbed at the air above him. It looked as though he had grasped empty air, but he was actually gathering informational concepts.
Holding the concepts he had gathered, Cheng Mingrui walked forward and, following his senses, found Kuka's mask beside a pile of rubbish.
Perhaps the garish mask was useless, so none of the Grot Scavengers had taken it. Or perhaps some mysterious power had kept all the Grot Scavengers from seeing it. Either way, it had waited there quietly to be picked up.
After reviewing the knowledge and the procedure in his mind, Cheng Mingrui gently placed the concepts in his hand into the mask.
