The bloody stench was so foul and filthy that every Ork, Cheng Mingrui included, covered his nose. Even fighting through mountains of corpses and seas of blood, they had never smelled anything so revolting.
Frowning, Cheng Mingrui was the first to step into the Laboratory, followed by Clever Git, some Gretchin, and Mekboys. Some of the Orks were so overwhelmed by the stench that they vomited off to the side. They probably would not be joining this adventure.
The Laboratory held few of the precision instruments and equipment found outside. Instead, it was filled with culture tanks containing countless specimens. Many had forms of life Cheng Mingrui had never seen and could scarcely describe.
Some specimens were simply masses of flesh: lumps of meat with twisted hands and feet, and bulging eyes growing in all manner of bizarre places.
The sort of frightening sights that appeared in horror films were everywhere in these culture tanks. As an Ork warlord and the boss of over a hundred million Orks, how could Cheng Mingrui fear such things? Even if the most terrifying Daemon stood before him, his chief concern would still be whether it could put up a fight.
The bloody stench in the air grew stronger. Quite a few Orks were driven outside by it, leaving only a dozen or so around Cheng Mingrui. Almost all of them had to cover their noses with something to endure it.
With a soft squelch, Cheng Mingrui looked down. He had stepped on something sticky that seemed to be a mixture of rotten flesh, glass, and metal.
A thick stench rose from it. Things like this seemed to be the source of the Laboratory's smell.
Cheng Mingrui's scientific curiosity made him want to bring a little of the mixture up to his eyes and
