More and more Daemons and monsters entered Realspace. When their numbers reached a million, the Portal exploded with a bang. Reality had rejected the Warp.

The two worlds repelled each other. Otherwise, if the billions upon billions of Daemons in the Warp could freely enter Realspace, nothing would remain of the entire Galaxy.

Losek was deeply displeased. Most of these million Daemons were low-ranking creatures; Greater Daemons like him were few and far between, and there were fewer than a thousand Chaos Space Marines. The Portal had collapsed far too quickly. By rights, twice that number should have made it through.

Something seemed to be interfering with the Warp. Just as that thought occurred to him, he looked up and saw Tyranid Spore Pods filling the sky.

The Tyranids wanted to compete with his master for food? That wasn't part of the plan. Losek glared viciously at Cornwall's corpse, torn into two pieces on the ground, wondering whether this was a scheme by the entity behind the man.

Losek let out a piercing shriek, stopping the Daemons from slaughtering and tormenting the Planetary Defense Force.

The Daemons, too, realized they had not come here merely to indulge themselves and have fun. Their master's will was not something they could defy.

Soon, the Daemons split into two groups, taking with them the Planetary Defense Force troops who had already been corrupted into Chaos Cultists. One group rushed toward the Spaceport. A city of two million humans surrounded it, and Tyranid Spore Pods had already blanketed the area.
