Cheng Mingrui, back in the Starting Point System, had no idea how much intelligence the Great Devourer possessed. When he had transmigrated, the timeline Games Workshop had written was still at the stage when the Tyranids and Orks were fighting fiercely in Octarius.
Now they were already in the later stages, and the Great Devourer was close to achieving total victory. Had he arrived earlier, he could have changed the story through his knowledge of the plot. As things stood, he could only rely on himself.
"I wonder if Ghazghkull Thraka has reached Armageddon..." If Ghazghkull Thraka had not taken so many elite Orks away, the Orks would have held the advantage in Octarius.

By their biological nature, Orks were a species suited to cultivating territory and transforming their environment. But their innate belligerence meant they could not keep building up for long. They needed new enemies immediately, or even Cheng Mingrui would struggle to stop his followers from fighting among themselves.
The scouting fleets he had dispatched had yet to send any intelligence back, and the Ork Pirates who had strayed into the Starting Point System had provided little useful information.
Cheng Mingrui felt that launching an offensive amid such a thick fog of war was still too
