Fengrao IV was much like Euronia V. Its surface was covered in Tyranid biological structures and venomous, barbed vines, and poisonous air blanketed the planet. Space above it, however, was spotless-not a trace of Tyranids anywhere.

The Ork Roks followed traditional Ork design: fast charges, thick armor, and heavy firepower, but no orbital bombardment capability.

Just as Cheng Mingrui was considering whether to tilt the fleet, turn its broadsides toward the planet, and bombard the Tyranids below, green meteors rose from the surface of Fengrao IV. Judging by their trajectories, they were aimed squarely at his Ork fleet.

That was the anti-aircraft fire from the planet's Spore Towers. The green meteors were actually highly concentrated corrosive acid, part of a defense the swarm consciousness had hastily erected to buy time for retreat.

There were so many green meteors that they resembled a beautiful, dazzling meteor shower above the planet. Soon, the shower intersected Cheng Mingrui's Ork fleet. Several Ork Roks in lower orbits failed to dodge in time and were struck.

These hastily manufactured Ork warships had undergone no quality control whatsoever. When the meteors struck, the corrosive acid inside dealt devastating damage to the Ork Roks. Some particularly shoddy warships were even knocked out of action.

A one-sided massacre was no fun. Only a battle with twists and turns could hold Cheng Mingrui's interest.

The Tyranids had come prepared. As the meteor shower ahead grew denser, it was already too late for the Ork fleet to turn. Whether it held its position or accelerated, the fleet would enter that beautiful, deadly meteor shower.

The swarm consciousness had calculated all of this. When the Ork fleet entered the Spore Tower Group's range, it deliberately kept the towers silent. Only once the fleet could no longer easily evade them did it
