Connecting to the collective Waaagh! field went as smoothly as ever, but Cheng Mingrui still felt a sharp ache in his brain, seemingly caused by the Waaagh! field and the surrounding chaotic Warp energies wearing each other down.
With his expanded vision, Cheng Mingrui clearly saw the terrifying things that had filled him with dread. They were three powerful currents of energy: a furious red, filled with iron and blood; a lustful pink, filled with pleasure and twisted flesh; and a wise blue, within which he could see endless knowledge and change.
As soon as these three currents appeared, they tried to scatter the Ork fleet, just as the Warp turbulence had earlier. But like that turbulence, they were shattered by the sturdy Waaagh energy, leaving only small, relatively harmless wisps to slip into the fleet.
Understanding the nature of Warp essence, Cheng Mingrui quickly recognized them. These three powers represented the three great Chaos Gods of the Warp: Khorne, Blood God; Slaanesh, Prince of Pleasure; and Tzeentch, God of Schemes and Hope.
Facing the power of these three mighty beings at once... could the Waaagh! field enveloping the fleet hold? Worried, Cheng Mingrui asked Kuka, "Kuka, can you see what's happening outside?"
"Yeah, I can. What's up, Boss Slick?" Kuka answered casually.
"I don't reckon travelin' through the Daemons' den is all that safe. How about we head back to realspace first and try again later?" Although the Waaagh! field still shattered the energies representing the three gods like a reef breaking waves, Cheng Mingrui had already lost much of his confidence.
