Watching whole swathes of the Tyranid Fleet turn to ash before him, Sneaky Boss felt an immense surge of satisfaction.

The Great Devourer had its vast Tyranid Swarm, and Sneaky Boss had his endless green tide. The Orks were a race that fought whenever they encountered a battle and grew stronger whenever they faced a stronger foe.

If the Orks grew to encompass half the Galaxy and charged out beyond it to attack the Tyranids' main force, defeating it would not be impossible.

War always meant killing a thousand enemies at the cost of eight hundred of your own. Every minute, more than a hundred warships were destroyed in the war between the Orks and the Tyranids.

Nearly all these warships were massive capital ships several kilometres long. Against a civilisation that had only just entered space, a single ship could wipe it out... Yet here, they were expended as cannon fodder, just like the most basic soldiers in primitive warfare.

Two hours into the battle, Sneaky Boss saw an intact Tyranid Hive Mothership charge into a cluster of fighting ships where Ork warships made up a large proportion. Instead of joining the fight, it blew itself up, engulfing dozens of nearby warships without distinguishing friend from foe.

The highly corrosive acid ate through not only the Ork warships' steel hulls, but even the Tyranids' own flesh.

"Now that's fighting like you don't care if you live. Just how much do you hate us?" Sneaky Boss grumbled.

He intended to order the Ork fleet to gradually regroup and break free of this tangled melee. When it came to micromanagement, he was decidedly no match for the Great Devourer.

Only by spreading out his forces and exploiting the immense energy within the Waaagh! Field could he fight on more favourable terms.
