Anyone seeing a Necron Tomb World for the first time would be stunned by its eerie, cold landscape. Vast cubic pits stood in neat grids, each holding numerous dormant Necron units.

Necron Warriors made up most of the occupants of these vast pits, with advanced Necron units such as Immortals and Heavy Destroyers among them.

Perfectly straight roads separated the pits without the slightest deviation. These were the tomb's passages and highways, and their intersecting lines converged beneath the pyramid-shaped Obelisk at the very center.

An enormous green crystal crowned the pyramid, flashing with an ominous green light.

As the green crystal flashed faster and faster, the Necron units in the pits slowly came to life. Green light kindled within their hollow mechanical eye sockets.

The first to attack the Orks who had broken into the underground tomb were not the Necron units still awakening, but the Canoptek Scarabs and Tomb Stalkers performing maintenance around the enormous pits.

The Canoptek Scarabs were automated repair robots. They were not strong fighters, but their overwhelming numbers engulfed Cheng Mingrui and the Ork Boyz under his command.

But an Ork Big Mek was hardly that easy to deal with. The Gauss Beams fired by the Canoptek Scarabs were too low-powered to inflict much damage.

Soon, three enormous Tesla Coils unleashed thick bolts of lightning that short-circuited swarm after swarm of Canoptek Scarabs, sending them tumbling from the air.

Tomb Stalkers were Necron reconnaissance units. Small in size, they floated in the air with long tails trailing behind them, armed with a pair of spiked metal arms.

They looked like utter pushovers, but their extreme mobility and ability to defend themselves by shifting into another dimension gave Cheng Mingrui a headache.

Seven or eight Tomb Stalkers kept darting into the crowd of Boyz, skewering
