The C'tan avatar felt panic, its former arrogance swept away. It poured every ounce of its power into annihilating all the Krork that came near.
As long as it outlasted these Orks, as long as they broke after suffering massive casualties... it would still be an invincible C'tan.
The rule allowing mortals to defeat a god would never take effect.
One hundred thousand, two hundred thousand, three hundred thousand... The number of Krork annihilated around the C'tan avatar had reached staggering proportions. Even the most elementary particles around it had become incredibly dense, making the void itself grow viscous.
The radius of annihilation had been compressed to two meters. The Krork's savage faces were clearly visible now, though their various energy weapons and melee weapons were annihilated as well.
But allowing them to get this close was already an outrageous affront to the C'tan avatar!
Mere mortals dared to defy a god! Angered, the C'tan avatar unleashed a sudden burst of power.
In an instant, a vast swath of Krork vanished into nothingness. More than a hundred thousand were erased.
Before the C'tan avatar could take any satisfaction in this, the remaining Krork immediately filled the space left behind. Like their fallen kin, they raised their weapons and hacked at the C'tan avatar, only to be annihilated into particles upon entering the two-meter radius.
"Even mighty beings who call themselves gods have limits and make small mistakes. An emotional outburst of power can inadvertently undermine their own stability, leaving them weaker instead."
Just as with the previous statement, reality's causality was overturned, and the spoken words became reality.
The C'tan avatar discovered that its recent outburst had inadvertently disrupted its energy cycle, introducing a slight instability into the concept it embodied.
Normally, this was something it could recover from after
