"": "Rising to his feet, Luo Bin walked toward the mountain wall on the other side.
Thick moss grew there, glistening with moisture.
He peeled off a clump, tilted his head back, and squeezed hard. Water dripped out, moistening his parched lips. The coolness soothed his throat, banishing that nauseating discomfort.

A gleam flashed through Luo Bin's eyes again. Suddenly, his heart began pounding faster.
He fumbled inside his clothes and took out the Miao King's Ocarina.
Narrowing his eyes slightly, he looked up again and began to play.
The ocarina's notes echoed through the mountain pit before drifting out. As the echoes traveled farther and farther away, they ceased to sound like music and became something like the wind.
Venomous creatures were the last thing these remote mountain forests lacked.
From cracks in rocks, beneath tree roots, from caves and mountain crevices-from every dark place-venomous creatures crawled out of hiding and headed toward the mountain pit.
The Miao King played his ocarina, and Myriad Gu Respond in Unison!
At first, only scattered venomous creatures crawled into the pit. Then their numbers swelled, and they poured down in great masses.
Luo Bin kept playing.
He played for at least an hour before finally stopping.
The ground and mountain walls around him were covered in venomous creatures of every kind.
The Five Poisons were merely the most common.
Once enough of them had gathered, they would not disperse simply because the ocarina fell silent. Besides, the Gu here were an attraction in their own right.
The bolder creatures swarmed straight toward the chunks of corpses, gnawing alongside the Gu worms. A few even tried attacking the Gu worms, only to be brought down in moments. The crisp crunching of their bodies was unmistakable.
