"": "Luo Bin walked over to where Fourth Master Gray was bound by the iron chain and freed him first. Fourth Master Gray immediately darted onto his shoulder. He made no squeaking noises, simply crouching there without moving.
Then Luo Bin began picking flowers.
He picked lantern flowers with large seed cores and large petals. He also broke off plenty of thick, long stems.
He kept at it until just before dawn, gathering enough materials for two White Flower Lanterns before finally ducking into the cave.
The cave was not particularly large. Its feng shui was good, and the bodies had long since dried out completely, leaving not even a trace of corpse stench.
After crawling into its innermost reaches, Luo Bin began peeling off the petals one by one and drawing out the dragon whiskers.
Fourth Master Gray lay quietly on his shoulder, watching the whole time.
The process took a long time. Numerous tiny holes had been pricked into Luo Bin's fingertips, and beads of blood seeped out.
Day broke, and the first sunlight shone into the cave, but Luo Bin remained completely focused.

He stood upright and looked around. Unable to spot Mao Yousan, he continued running downhill.
When he reached the thatched huts, he quickly slipped into one. On his way out, he dispensed with the door entirely, punching a hole straight through the wall before entering the next hut.
