Luo Bin did his best to clear the distracting thoughts from his mind and kept following Yuan Yinxin.
Before they knew it, they had reached the entrance to town.
The sunlight stretched the ceremonial archway's shadow far across the ground, while Luo Bin's and Yuan Yinxin's shadows, one young and one old, stood side by side within it.
Yuan Yinxin scanned their surroundings and raised his left hand, working his fingers as though calculating something.
Then he lifted his head slightly, his expression assured, as though he already had everything worked out. "Gather all the Town Residents. I need to make a selection."
For a moment, Luo Bin had no idea what Yuan Yinxin intended to do.
A selection? What did that mean?
Still, he did not hesitate and hurried to the roadside.
Quite a few Town Residents had already gathered to watch.
Approaching someone nearby, Luo Bin instructed him in a low voice, "Go find Li Yuan. Tell him to summon everyone in town to the entrance."
