Shang Liuli made her position clear in those few simple words.
"Dear, Xiao Shan... he's keeping his promise, and that's the right thing to do. Think about it another way: if he were heartless and ungrateful, turning his back on everyone, why would he have come back at all?"
"Once someone truly stops caring about anything, once everyone becomes someone they can use or abandon, even blood ties can't hold them back. Don't you agree?"
Gu Ya spoke up, trying to persuade Luo Feng to change his mind.
"I'm going to Cabinet Mountain Village. Whether I can get out isn't the most important thing. I have to look after Xiaoling." Zhang Baijiao looked a little anxious. "Luo Bin, is Xiaoling all right?"
Luo Bin hadn't mentioned Zhang Yunling earlier, since her situation had no bearing on the larger affair.
He nodded. "Sister Xiaoling is safe and sound. She knows you're alive, too. I told her."

"Yi Ren has finished cooking. I can already smell it." Luo Feng seemed to be changing the subject, but then he added, "We'll return to the village after we eat. Staying in the village won't accomplish anything. If we go with Lady Shang, we can at least lend a hand."
He said it casually.
