The air hung still and quiet.
Out on the road, the driver knew nothing of what had happened by the roadside. Cursing the dead man for rushing off to his next life, he dialed his phone. His swearing gave way to a conversation with his insurer, followed by a call to the police.
The sun blazed overhead. This was a park, with plenty of people around, and a large crowd soon gathered. Some sighed repeatedly, some clicked their tongues, and some spectators remarked that the man really had hit the jackpot.
The Nether Guardian lowered his head and said hoarsely, "You're right. It was his time, his fate. I apologize for offending you."
With that, he slowly backed away and descended the steps, soon disappearing from sight.
Only then did Luo Bin head down. After entering the Nether Market, he went straight to the Tea House where he had met Chen Zu.
